March 10 to April 14th inclusively ~ Monday evenings at 7pm via Zoom
This Lenten season, we will be exploring the idea of Awe at Inlet during worship on Sundays, and we will be offering a 6 part evening zoom gathering to dive a little deeper into themes of awe, beauty, wonder, meaning, curiosity, delight, connection and self-giving.
Awe is a profound emotional response that can significantly impact our wellbeing and perception of the world. Awe often arises from experiences that transcend our usual understanding, such as viewing vast landscapes, listening to powerful music, encountering extraordinary acts of kindness, or feeling heightened devotion and a Divine Presence connecting us all. To be a “Purveyor of Awe” is to be intentional about curating a life of spiritual depth. This has implications not only for one’s own life, but also as motivation to tend to the wellbeing of others. Let us approach this Lent with awe.
This Lenten study involves some reading in advance and some spiritual practice/reflection and then we get together to discuss the theme of the week and what insight you have gained or perhaps what has inspired you. We will do this on zoom and we will meet Monday evenings at 7pm from March 10 to April 14th inclusively. There is some reading, but the entire book is less than 100 pages, so this Lenten study is more about diving into the theme topics and exploring them a little more deeply and in community.
If you would like to participate and get a reading schedule and find out how to get a book, please email Rev. Jenn (revjenn@inletunited.ca) or Kelly in the office (office@inletunited.ca). Please note Jenn is away until Feb 27th, so please email Kelly during this timeframe.
Please note; NO CHURCH EXPERIENCE NECESSARY for this reflection study. Invite friends who would like to engage in some virtual community!
